Job Description
We are currently seeking an Electronics Quality Engineer to join a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation based in Coventry.
This role is ideal for an engineer with 2–4 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, inspection, fault diagnosis, and quality assurance within a highly regulated industry. You will play a key role in identifying defects, investigating non-conformances, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring electronic products meet strict aerospace quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect electronic components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies throughout the manufacturing process.
- Investigate and identify faults, defects, and quality issues on production hardware.
- Perform root cause analysis and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve production issues.
- Review non-conformance reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements.
- Analyse inspection data and provide recommendations to improve product quality and reliability.
- Support audits and quality-related documentation activities.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- 2–4 years of experience within electronics manufacturing, quality, inspection, or fault investigation.
- Experience identifying and resolving faults on electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of quality tools and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Aerospace, avionics, defence, or other highly regulated industry experience.
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 awareness.
- Experience with electronic testing and diagnostic equipment.
