What will you be doing? 

As a Nuclear Layout Design Engineer, you will join the Alten LTD team in Derby to support our activities within the Nuclear sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• producing complex conceptual layout designs and piping routes for a small modular reactor

• Providing and  evaluating risk assessments for a nuclear power plant, ensuring all designs comply with HSE standards

• Lead test and verifications of a small modular reactor, providing inputs for development phases of the project

Who are we looking for? 

• Dynamic and confident Engineers who can collaborate with various disciplines to produce conceptual layout designs and verify their compliance with standards

•  Prior experience in the nuclear energy or chemical power plant Industries

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Degree in Nuclear, Chemical, Mechanical,or Environmental Science-related fields

• Familiarity with various CAD tools
