What will you be doing? 

As a Design and Release Engineer, you will join the Coventry team to support our activities within the Automotive sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and refine vehicle components and systems according to design specifications and performance targets.
  • Overseeing the testing and validation of prototypes to ensure they meet quality standards, performance criteria, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting thorough inspections and analysis of vehicle components and systems to identify and resolve design issues, manufacturing defects, or quality concerns.
  • Ensuring that vehicle designs comply with relevant safety, emissions, and regulatory standards, and facilitating the certification process as necessary

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Some roles may prefer advanced degrees or specialized certifications.
  • 5 YOE in automotive engineering or a related field
  • Experience in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD for creating and modifying vehicle components and assemblies.
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools, such as finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), or other simulation software.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and components, including chassis, powertrain, electrical systems, and vehicle dynamics.
