What will you be doing? 

As a Component Engineer, you will join Derby team to support our activities within the Nuclear sector. 

 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Design, test and develop various mechanical components such as pressure vessels, valves, pumps etc. (within Nuclear applications), from concept to delivery.
  • Undertaking design reviews, calculations and developing test strategies to provide justifications & safety cases for components produced.
  • Providing mechanical inputs and safety support in the integration and approval phases through internal processes.
  • Working cross functionally across systems, mechanical, manufacturing, supply chain departments etc. to ensure manufacturability, safe installation and full functionality of components.
  • Adhering to ASME, ISO and BS standards to ensure products are delivered in a timely manner with cost considerations.

 

Who are we looking for? 

  • Prior exposure to large Nuclear Energy, Renewable or Oil & Gas projects.
  • A well-polished engineer with exceptional communication skills & stakeholder management.

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Prior exposure to development of mechanical components in Nuclear, Marine/Naval or Oil& Gas industries.
  • Expertise in managing suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with CAD & project engineering tools such as AutoCAD, MS Projects etc.
  • Eligibility to achieve BPSS clearance.
