What will you be doing? 

As an ILS Engineer you will join our Bristol team to support our activities within the UK Defence sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Design and implement Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) strategies tailored to the specific needs of naval and land defence systems, ensuring optimal operational readiness and sustainability.
  • Develop comprehensive maintenance plans, including preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime during critical operations.
  • Conduct thorough reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analyses to identify potential failure points and optimise support resources allocation for both naval and land-based assets.
  • Coordinate logistics, including spare parts provisioning, supply chain management, and transportation, ensuring timely availability of critical resources for ongoing operations and maintenance. Support the development and implementation of obsolescence management strategies to mitigate risks associated with the aging of equipment and ensure long-term sustainability of naval and land-based defence systems.
  • Monitor and analyse equipment performance data, failure trends, and maintenance records to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimisation of support processes.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during field exercises, deployments, and operational missions to address emergent logistics challenges and ensure mission success in dynamic and demanding environments.

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • 5+ Years of Experience within Systems or ILS Engineering
  • Experience within the UK Defence sector
  • You must have/be able to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)
  • You must have a Masters or Bachelors degree within a relevant field of engineering
  • You must hold the full right to work within the UK
