As an ILS Engineer, you will join the team to support our activities within the defence sector. As part of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our clients’ mission-critical projects. The role can be remote for individuals with demonstrable experience. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Conduct Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) analysis to identify support requirements and develop supportability solutions for defence systems.
  • Perform Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analysis using techniques such as reliability block diagrams, Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) predictions.
  • Develop Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) documentation, including Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Provisioning Analysis.
  • Support the development and implementation of support concepts, including spares provisioning, maintenance planning, and support equipment requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications, including DefStan 00-43, DefStan 00-600, and ASD S3000L.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate supportability considerations into the design and development of defence systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders on ILS-related matters.
  • Support ILS reviews, audits, and assessments to validate the effectiveness of supportability solutions.

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related field. 
  • Eligibility for SC clearance and sole British citizen, due to highly sensitive nature of the role.
  • Proven experience in Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) engineering within the defence sector.
  • Strong knowledge of supportability engineering principles, including reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.
  • Proficiency in reliability block diagrams, Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) predictions.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and specifications, such as DefStan 00-43, DefStan 00-600, and ASD S3000L.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex supportability challenges.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
