What will you be doing? 

As a Mechanical Avionics Engineer, you will join the Alten Ltd Oxford team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Implementing design modifications of aircraft for a Major Aerospace Organisation.
  • Responsible for planning and installing the avionics, instruments, communications and flight control system on the aircraft.
  • Analysing and troubleshooting different sub-systems on the aircraft
  • Using Mechanical Design Software and Tools to produce different drawings and fittings for mechanical parts on the aircraft

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical, and Aerospace Engineering or similar
  • 5 years of experience+ as an Engineer involved with Aircraft Design Modifications.
  • MUST be EASA Part 21J / Part 21 SUBPART J design qualified – through an EASA design approved organisation.
  • Proficiency using CAD Tools, i.e.: CATIA V5 for Mechanical Design, within the Aerospace Industry
  • Strong comprehension of with design/aircraft modification documentation with ability to share and convey this knowledge.
  • An effective and thorough communicator with leadership qualities
